First art submission, yeah! One of my favorite assignments from this past year at Otis. Done mostly in December 2010 for my Principles of Design class with Kiki.
Goal: to analyze the form of a natural object.
-chosen object: succulent/cactus plant.
Requirements: 1 realistically rendered graphite drawing. 1 gouache painting (b&w) using a single repeating shape to describe form. 1 gouache painting in either Aboriginal, Baroque, or Nouveau in b&w with tiniest hint of 1 color. 1 gouache painting of object with geometric shapes in b&w with hints of two complimentary colors.
